Subject: Notes as alternative to Outlook for single-user?
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Functionality
Platform: Windows
Release: 8.5.2
Reproducible: Not applicable

Hello,

I used to work with EccoPro but had to move to Outlook so data syncs with my BlackBerry, but I really never liked Outlook.

One thing that I really miss from Ecco and which doesn't exist in Outlook, is hiearchical to-do lists. Other than that, I just need the usual PIM features, ie. contacts, calendars, and notes.

I might move from a BlackBerry to Android phone in the coming months.

I was wondering if Lotus Notes is a good solution for a single user, ie. as a stand-alone application with no connection with a Domino server?

If yes, are there good online tutorial and books to get me started after downloading the trial edition of Lotus Notes 8.5.2?

Thank you.
